After you receive this alert, the Pro Portfolio will make the following trades:
— Sell 310 shares of Arista Networks (ANET) at or near $194. Following the trade we will own 1,100 ANET shares, accounting for roughly 3.9% of the Pro Portfolio’s assets.
— Sell 103 shares of Microsoft (MSFT) at or near $495. Following the trade we will own 370 MSFT shares, accounting for roughly 3.4% of the Pro Portfolio’s assets.
— Sell 365 shares of Palantir (PLTR) at or near $162. Following the trade will own 1,320 PLTR shares, accounting for roughly 3.9% of the Pro Portfolio’s assets.
What we are doing with these moves is locking in a slice of big gains for relatively short periods of time for each of those holdings. Our underlying thesis on each holding remains unchanged, we are simply taking advantage of those moves and in the case of MSFT and PLTR, overbought conditions, to prudently lock in large gains.

That is especially the case with MSFT as its RSI rating moved past 79 today in addition to approaching our $500 price target. When we hear from Microsoft at investor conferences in the coming weeks and in early September, we’ll revisit our price target based on what we learn about ramping AI capacity and margins.

Our thinking with Palantir is we are monetizing the shares we scooped up in late June near $107 following their move of more than 50%.
With shares of Arista Networks, they hit an all-time high today. While we agree with the logic that following the step up in capex levels from the hyperscalers, especially key customers Meta (META) and Microsoft that are likely to produce favorable results and guidance, that all-time high runs the risk of extremely high expectations going into tonight’s earnings report.
If we’re right then we’ve taken some profits. If we’re wrong and ANET shares go higher, we still have a sizable position in place. As we digest tonight’s earnings report, we’ll re-assess our ANET price target, probably with an upward bias based on hyperscaler spending plans. The degree of that increase is likely to be swayed by what we hear about supply chain issues for H2 2026.
The net result of these trades will be a lift in the Portfolio’s cash position, giving us some fuel as we continue to kick over new additions to the Bullpen and look for other new candidates.
