Given the pace of the $10K Portfolio names that have been releasing quarterly earnings results of late, we have fallen a bit behind in the dissemination of portfolio news of less than a headline level. Here we go:
– Evolv Technologies (EVLV) Last week, Evolv Technologies announced that Evolv Express, which is the company’s people-screening system, had been selected as a security partner at Northwestern University’s new Ryan Field. As Ryan Sports Development prepares to open the first NFL-type stadium in college sports, they evaluated available screening solutions and selected Evolv Express as their choice to deliver an elevated fan security experience. Evolv Express uses advanced sensor technology and artificial intelligence to detect concealed threats and identify the location of potential threats while allowing fans to move through checkpoints at a natural pace. This is a multi-year agreement.
– Ocular Therapeutix (OCUL): On Friday, analyst Tazeen Ahmed of Bank of America reiterated her “buy” rating on OCUL along with her $27 target price. Ahmed is rated at four stars out of five by TipRanks. She has a 60% success rate over two years but has generated an average return of just 8.7%.
– Ondas Inc (ONDS): On Friday, Ondas announced that its subsidiary, Sentrycs, had been selected to provide advanced counter-drone protection for Jacksonville Jaguars home games at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida through the upcoming 2026 NFL season.
On Thursday, Ondas announced that the U.S. Air Force Research Lab had awarded a more than $6 million contract to DZYNE Technologies,which is now part of Ondas. The firm has been contracted to advance the Long-Range Grasshopper, an autonomous, runway-independent precision aerial delivery system designed for extended-range logistics in contested and austere environments. Following the acquisition of DZYNE, all contract work is now performed within Ondas Sentinel, which is the company’s dedicated U.S. defense-focused division.
Last Wednesday, Ondas announced that its U.S.-based defense prime contracting property, Mistral, has received an over $50 million order from the U.S. Army for the development of tactical Lethal Unmanned Systems. The order is part of a previously awarded $982 million multi-year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract supporting the U.S. Army’s Lethal Unmanned Systems program. Mistral’s total awards to date exceed $240 million.
– SoFi Technologies (SOFI): Last week, SoFi Technologies introduced three new private market funds from CAZ Investments and AngelList Asset Management. These funds will provide exposure to private market strategies across AI, fintech, healthcare, defense, and other sectors, with investments that may include companies such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Anduril, and others. The new funds include:
1) CAZ GP Stakes Fund (Seeks long-term capital appreciation and current income by investing primarily in alternative asset management firms, including firms that manage private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, commodity-related securities, and venture capital strategies.)
2) CAZ Strategic Opportunities Fund (Seeks long-term capital appreciation and current income through broad exposure to innovative and predominantly private markets. The fund seeks exposure across multiple asset types, including private equity, private credit, real estate/real assets, and liquid assets.)
3) AngelList Asset Management’s USVC Venture Capital Access Fund (Seeks long-term capital appreciation by investing in venture capital funds and underlying private growth-oriented companies with exposure across AI, fintech, healthcare, defense, and other innovation-driven sectors, which may include opportunities connected to the AngelList platform.)
In addition, on Thursday, analyst Tim Switzer of KBW reiterated his “sell” rating on SOFI along with his $16 target price. Switzer is rated at 4.5 stars out of five by TipRanks. He has a 75% success rate over two years but has generated an average return of 18.4%.
