Trimming 2 Disappointments, Eyeing 4 Buys

The $10,000 Portfolio intends to use this morning’s little pop to further shave its holdings in both Velo3D (VELO) and Alto Ingredients (ALTO) as both of those names have been disappointments.

We’ll also continue to add to Planet Labs (PL) at these prices after having missed the sale at higher prices last week.

I would also like to add to Ondas Inc. (ONDS), Rocket Lab (RKLB) and SoFi Technologies (SOFI), but those thoughts are definitely price sensitive.

Friday’s Intentions

– Sell 25 shares of ALTO at or close to the last sale of $4.04.

– Sell 15 shares of VELO at or close to the last sale of $10.81.

– Purchase 25 shares of ONDS at or a limit price of $7.20 or better.

– Purchase 10 shares of PL at a limit price of $16.80 or better.

– Purchase 2 shares of RKLB at a limit price of $61 or better.

– Purchase 10 shares of SOFI at a limit price of $17.10 or better.

Thursday’s Intentions vs. Actual Trades

– Purchase 10 shares of SOFI at or close to the last sale of $17.06
Bought 10 shares of SOFI at $17.20

– Purchase 10 shares of PL at or close to the last sale of $16.80
Bought 10 shares of PL at $17.48

– Purchase 25 shares of ONDS at or close to the last sale of $7.12

Portfolio News

Evolv Technology

Evolv Technology (EVLV) announced Thursday that management will meet with analysts from Craig-Hallum at an event in Milwaukee on Monday, September 14.

Rocket Lab

Portfolio holding Rocket Lab launched its sixteenth Electron rocket of the year with a dedicated mission for a confidential customer. Known as the “Happily Ever Faster” mission, the launch took place at Rocket Lab Launch Complex 1 in New Zealand at 3:28 p.m. NZST on September 11. It was successful in deploying a single observation satellite to a 500km circular low Earth orbit. Rocket Lab’s next Electron launch is scheduled to take place from Launch Complex 1 for another commercial constellation operator before the end of the month.

In addition, on Friday morning, analyst Brian Gesuale of Raymond James initiated coverage of RKLB with a “outperform” rating (buy-equivalent) and an $80 target price. Gesuale is rated at five stars out of five by TipRanks. He has compiled a 63% success rate over the past two years while generating an average return of 23.7%.
