-- Buying 100 shares of DuPont (DD) .

-- Buying 25 shares of Chicago Bridge & Iron (CBI) .

-- Selling 50 shares of IBM (IBM) .

The market is down nearly 2% and commodities continue to get hit, led by likely margin calls in gold.

Some of the stocks we own (and like) are down considerably and we'll add on the weakness.

We'll add 100 shares to DuPont (DD) at $48.84 and 25 Chicago Bridge & Iron (CBI) at $51.95.

We'll take gains in IBM (IBM) with 50 shares at $210.98.

There is a lot of speculation as to the commodity weakness, such as Cyprus selling gold, China growth stalling, deflation chatter and the general global slowdown. We've tilted the portfolio towards more U.S.-centric stocks over the last few months when the global data points were less favorable. We still like the U.S. story, the gradual recovery and accommodative Fed. We expect earnings to be solid and valuations remain attractive, especially with strong dividend support.

Several names are on our radar screen to add and we'll pick at a few names today. This is why we've built the cash, so on days like today we can add to some of our favorite ideas. We continue to like themes of housing, aerospace, auto and the consumer and lower commodity costs will only help these themes in the form of lower costs.

What could we be missing? The global slowdown is more severe than we thought, but for now the data doesn't support that especially with global central bankers flooding the market with liquidity.

We added to Nordstrom (JWN) earlier today and are watching TJX (TJX) on a pullback. Other names we're watching to buy are Eaton (ETN) , Facebook FB, Goldman Sachs (GS) , General Electric (GE) , EMC (EMC) , Key (KEY) , Oracle (ORCL) , Weyerhauser (WY) and Waste Management (WM) . We're also eying Schlumberger (SLB) as a potential new name.

After the trades, we will own 1,400 shares of DuPont, or 2.5%, 1,775 shares of Chicago Bridge & Iron, or 3.4%, and 345 shares of IBM, or 2.7%.
